How does this insulation paint work?
TEMPOAT insulation paint keeps the heat out by using tiny ceramic microspheres. The ceramic spheres contain a hollow center that with a semi-vacuum. Heat absorption is greatly reduced through the ceramic outer shell. Heat also has difficulty penetrating the semi-vacuum center of the microsphere. TEMPCOAT insulation paint contains many sizes of ceramic from 1-300 microns to fill in all the small holes when the paint dries to form a continuous barrier from the heat. The use of many different sizes of ceramic microspheres is unique to TEMPCOAT insulation paint. The silicon in TEMPCOAT insulation paint also acts as an effective barrier to heat.
